Downtown Lebanon Awarded Chamber of Commerce’s Impact of the Year Award
At the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner on March 13th, 2025, Downtown Lebanon was honored with the Impact of the year Award for 2024.
The Impact of the Year Award honors and recognizes a LACC member who is also an outstanding non-profit organization. Eligible recipients must have been a non-profit organization under section 501c(3) or (6) of the Internal Revenue Code for at least TWO years and have a local governance and management structure in place. Award will be presented based on the criteria of mission and program community impact. The winner of this award also receives aa proceeds from cups sold at the annual dinner. The total for cup sals for the evening was $2,000.
During the award’s presentation, LACC Executive Director Ashley Mahan said there were 27 member organizations nominated for this award. As she announced the winner, she talked about Downtown Lebanon.
“This year’s Impact of the Year Award goes to a nonprofit organization that has truly revitalized the heart of our community. Their dedication to preserving history while fostering growth has transformed downtown into a thriving destination for businesses, families, and visitors alike.
“Through innovative events like First Fridays, Hooked on Lebanon, Dinner Under the Downtown Lights, and Christmas on Commercial, they have breathed new life into our historic district, creating spaces for connection, celebration, and community engagement. Their commitment to supporting local businesses, enhancing our downtown’s appearance through facade grants, and encouraging economic growth has made a lasting impact.
“Because of their vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication, Downtown Lebanon has become a hub of activity and pride for our entire community.”
